On Saturday, October 22nd, the Bannock County Democrats will be holding a People & Politics event. We'll be serving up some muffins and donuts along with a choice of coffee or juice between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.
This event will be held at the Pocatello Senior Citizens Center, which is located at 427 North 6th Ave., located behind the Job Services Building.
Pocatello City Council candidates Eva Johnson-Nye, Brad Huerta, and Scott Odekirk are scheduled to speak about their campaigns and answer questions. We encourage you to come hear the candidates speak about their visions for the future of Pocatello. It will be a great time to get answers in a fun, informal way.
Pocatello Fire Department Chief Mike Irwin will be there to speak about the upcoming ambulance levy election. He has stated that as “we continue to see our call volume and the population increase, we are at the crossroads of not being able to respond to the day-to-day emergencies within our city and county.” We are hoping that everyone comes to hear their representative speak about the levy and the reasons to support it.
Everyone is welcome to attend! People & Politics is a great way to stay in touch with fellow Democrats in our area, as well as to pass around ideas and suggestions. We look forward to seeing you there! For more information about this event, please contact our organization via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or find us on Facebook. An RSVP is appreciated but not required and it helps us to plan so that we have enough food.
